Architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group has unveiled the project for the “O-tower” its latest futuristic design for OPPO, which will rise in Hangzhou, China.
The building embodies what are the core values of the Chinese smartphone company, which aims to be a new landmark with its tower, creating a gateway to the future sci-tech city of Hangzhou.
“It will be an architectural manifestation of an OPPO product: effortlessly elegant, aiming to improve the quality of life in the city.”
The architects of Bjarke Ingels Group have managed to bring to life a building that is in step with the times, it is in fact designed to reduce energy consumption and to express OPPO’s commitment to endless innovation.
Even the design chosen is very special, the “O-tower” will in fact have a unique ring shape that will distinguish it from the rest of the beautiful skyscrapers around.

“We have tried to imagine that OPPO’s future work environment is sustainable on a triple bottom line: economically, ecologically and socially.”
OPPO in fact together with Bjarke Ingels Group has managed to create not only a new powerful and technological headquarters, but has also thought about the welfare not only of its workers but also the residents of the city of Hangzhou.
In addition to the mammoth tower, the project, as can be seen from the first renderings, also includes a large green space, designed to be a true urban living room for the city. Than, the architects have planned a small oasis where to relax, a place full of plants and trees, where nature will reign supreme.
