This is not the first time we have mentioned the American company HomeAdvisor. The first time we mentioned it was when, with the collaboration of a team of designers and experts, it created illustrated posters of the interiors of Buckingham Palace. We mentioned it again when its creatives reimagined the locations of The Simpsons in a Wes Anderson style.
Now we’re talking about it again because the company’s latest project has blown us away. Ahead of the release of No Time To Die, the next and highly anticipated film in the James Bond saga, in US cinemas in October 2021, HomeAdvisor has created 50 illustrations inspired by some of the most iconic locations and architecture in the films.
From the shark pool in the home of Emilio Largo, the villain of Thunderball, who is confronted by a very young Sean Connery, to the launch base of SPECTRE’s Bird One spacecraft inside the mouth of a volcano in the fifth film in the saga, You Only Live Twice.
HomeAdvisor’s design not only pays homage to the early films, but runs through almost every film ever made. Among the buildings reproduced we find the one that houses the Blades Club, where in Die Another Day a James Bond played by Pierce Brosnan meets for the first time Miranda Frost, the millionaire Gustav Graves and where we also see a small cameo by Madonna as a fencing teacher.
Finally we come to the present day, to the films starring Daniel Craig, where for example we are shown the doors of his family house, the Skyfall Lodge, built specifically for filming in the nature reserve of Hankley Common.
There is also an illustration dedicated to the upcoming film, which includes Matera as one of its locations. The Italian city, with its narrow streets and magnificent views, will become the backdrop for breathtaking chases where the absolute star remains the super-equipped Aston Martin.
Below you can see a selection of the illustrations, but to discover the entire project go to the HomeAdvisor website.
