Léonard Combier is a self-taught painter and illustrator who loves to fill his work with hidden symbols.
For the Doodles series that he made on passports, full of different customs’ stamps throughout the world, he used drawings, sentences, jokes and symbols all put in a puzzle made of stamps, official visas and graphs.
The series, that taste like vacations, memories and freedom to move around the world, is said to be a gift to all customs officials who spend their lives looking at people’s faces and printing a “yes” or a”no” on their document.
