We have a little reminder for you, tomorrow on Mondonero – a non-profit web community platform based in Milan – will be staging a day of live shows, DJ sets and a round table where we will delve into the role of women in the music industry.

Music and women will be the protagonists of the round table entitled: “Pink Noises, new frequencies beyond the interference of gender”.

“Pink noises: new frequencies beyond gender interference aspires to be an instructive and stimulating discussion, a snapshot of the current scenario, in which the innovative force behind the development of music also belongs to women. Music as a form of language, a mirror of change able to bypass gender barriers to finally rewrite the new rules of the game.”

To animate the debate there will be four voices of the Sicilian music scene: Oriana Guarino, label manager for Believe Music; Lucia Lauro, musician, social entrepreneur and founder of the movement “Siciliane”; Emilia Callari, DJ and station manager of channel 2 of the web community platform; Gaia Blandina, musician and performer.
To moderate the event focused on the role of women in the music industry, Dr. Benedetto Gramasi, scholar of gender & cultural studies.

The non-profit web community platform Mondonero has decided to take us on a journey to discover the role of women in the music industry, taking inspiration from the work of American writer Tara Rodgers who shows how genderism creeps into the most hidden folds of our culture, preventing the very confrontation with the mystery of interference.
