This article will not contain spoilers of any kind, but if you have not yet seen any of the episodes of the latest season of Stranger Things released on Netflix last May 27 in these lines you can find out that it is no longer a cute teen adventure.
The characters have grown up and so has the plot, which is decidedly more horror, as the posters made by illustrator Butcher Billy for Netflix, which just on July 1 released the last two episodes of the saga set in Hawkins.

The illustrations created for Stranger Things encapsulate the style of the series, interpreting in a horror key the main characters and events that mark each of the 9 episodes of the final season. The designs are reminiscent of those on the covers of Goosebumps, a Stephen King book or those on Metallica albums, a mix of references not too far from the soul of the season finale.
From the Hawkins massacre to the one dedicated to the Hellfire Club, the nerdiest club in town. Almost all the main characters of the series are present in Butcher Billy’s works, from Eleven to Vecna, always torn between the real world and the upside down.
A selection of Butcher Billy posters for Stranger Things is available for purchase in the Netflix online store.
