Prada and Sotheby’s auction house have signed an agreement thanks to which the Italian Maison will be able to raise funds that will be entirely allocated to educational and didactic projects organized by UNESCO, aimed at widening access to education for the most fragile populations of the planet.

This is Prada’s new Fall/Winter 20/21 campaign titled “Tools of Memory”: an auction to be held on October 2nd which will include photographic prints, some invitations to the fashion shows and many props, as part of the set design and fittings, coming directly from Prada’s men’s and women’s fashion shows of Fall/Winter 2020, a collection presented in January. That collection marked a return to Prada’s emblematic style characterized for example by geometric prints and inlaid knitwear.

“An inevitable reaction to the impossibility during the pandemic to create a service in the studio but also a reflection and a memory of this precise moment, in which it was not possible to create by gathering and coming into contact with other people”, reads a note issued by the Italian Maison.

Among the models photographed are Gigi Hadid (who also worked as a photographer), Kaia Gerber, Mensah Benjamin and Thibaud Charon.

The auction will be launched with a small number of items that the Sotheby’s auction house is gradually unveiling in a dedicated section of its website, while further details will be announced in the coming months until the complete list of items to be auctioned will be published online before October 2, 2020.
