Prince Gyasi captures atmospheres and colors of his country, Ghana, in particular, he loves to tell about his people. Most of the photographs were taken in Accra, his city and are characterized by the contrast between dark skin and bright sunny colors of objects, fabrics, and clothing. The close-ups are part of his series “BoxedKids”, a project that has contributed to the GoFundMe campaign, created by Gyasi and his partner to help creative children of Jamestown to follow and realize their dreams.

With the term “boxed kids” Gyasi describes children who are trapped in a place or in a difficult situation. The most surprising thing is that, contrary to what one can believe, every picture has been taken with the iPhone and presents a quality and a wealth of surprising details.
