The Los Angeles artist Danny Heller grew up contemplating the landscape that the sunny San Fernando Valley offers. In the series of Recent Palm Springs oil paintings, we find all the elements that characterized the ’60s-70s in America.

So, we see futuristic-looking homes with the indispensable pools, the Cadillacs and, of course, no flamingos can be missing. Painting is hyper-realistic enough to exchange his paintings for photographs. The attention to detail is almost obsessive, like that of choosing colors.

His works are intended to pay tribute to mid-century design, capturing the quintessence of the landscape and the Californian city.
