In her series “Girl,“ Chinese-American artist Jessica So Ren Tang creates stunning embroideries depicting girls in bikinis, with their bodies entirely covered in traditional Asian textile patterns.

Through these works, she aims to draw attention to the invisible labor performed by Asian women in domestic, food, and manufacturing spheres—work that is too often overlooked by society.
