Artist Serena Cole is a mixed media painter and artist who creates interesting works: her project All This Useless Beauty investigates the visual culture and the power of images in our society. In her series, Serena enjoys playing with identity of haracters that she portrays: each face is the result of an image she found at various sources (web, magazine, etc.) which is then elaborated on a pictorial level.

Each table is made with the mixed watercolour-pencil technique, for impeccable stylistic performance. It almost seems like a game of roles in which the artist likes to assign new identities to her female subjects, to explore the complexities of being a woman in today’s world.
