Simple. Impact. Colorful.
Sør-Helgeland, is a visual exploration by Norwegian artist Kristofer Haugvik.
The Norwegian graphic designer has decided to dedicate a series of works to a small southern district in northern Norway.
Helgeland seems to be an enchanted place, where time seems to stand still, surrounded by the rocky mountains strictly wet from the Norwegian Sea.
I have a strong connection with this region, since both my parents grew up here. And for every summer vacation since I was born, this place has been our favorite destination.
So Kristofer Haugvik extrapolated every memory from his head and later managed to turn it into colorful postcards.
From sunsets to the sea to animals, the graphic designer in Sør-Helgeland has succeeded in encapsulating the magic of Scandinavian territory in a few simple images, using just a few colors and his segmented, almost geometric art.
