From 16th to 19th June, on the occasion of Men’s Fashion Week in Milan, Spazio Maiocchi inaugurates three different new projects that mix art, design and fashion.
SLAM JAM presents CAV EMPT ‘The Clothes Themselves’
Thanks to the mind of graphic designer Sk8thing, who founded it in 2012 together with streetwear visionaries Toby Feltwell and Hishiyama Yutaka, Cav Empt has become a cult brand over the years.
For Men’s Fashion Week, Slam Jam presents the brand’s most recent project, The Clothes Themselves, a short film written and directed by British artist Oliver Payne.
The film, which will be presented as a video installation, is inspired by the “Spread Mind” theory by Italian philosopher Riccardo Manzotti and will be introduced by a DJ set of The Trilogy Tapes Will Bankhead and then accompanied by a live set of Tapes.

ANNA UDDENBERG at KALEIDOSCOPE
Anna Uddenberg, featured on the cover of the current issue of KALEIDOSCOPE, is a Swedish artist who uses sculpture as a means of exploring consumer culture, confronting gender roles, social hierarchy and the figure of women.
Her work aims to upset our habits, the forms that we are familiar with, it aims to break the codes of good taste by giving up the normal distinction between what is functional and what is instead pure aesthetics.
The series of her works presented at Spazio Maiocchi show an excessive well-being that generates contrasting feelings.

NOWNESS VIDEOCLUB
Nowness Videoclub presents “Radically Queer“, a screening program that looks at queer culture from its past to its future.
Co-curated by NOWNESS and KALEIDOSCOPE, the program presents both contents from the Nowness archive and new film commissioned to explore the theme of the future queer frontier, present pioneers, and past disruptors. The program will debut at Spazio Maiocchi during Men’s Fashion Week but will then be available online throughout the summer.
