A reflection on contemporaneity that of Off-White™ in the Spring/Summer 2021 man pre-collection called “What Stars Are You Under?”.

Virgil Abloh tried to immortalize the changes in the world and the reality that surrounds us and that has suffered unprecedented shocks such as the pandemic of Covid-19 and the protests unleashed after the death of George Floyd.

Although the collection itself is powerful and decisive, tailoring and accessories with a precise and unique design, what is most striking is the message that Abloh wants to convey with this SS21 pre-collection.
The prints and looks are a reference to the times we are living in and a criticism of the ruling class, power in its broadest sense:
a pair of gloves with the phrase “I Support Young Black Businesses”, a bomber with a print of an almost intimate, resigned scene (windows with lights on dark and dark houses), formal trousers with caricatured prints reminiscent of gremlins and shirts covered with graffiti.

Pointed buckle boots and worn fake sneakers complete the dichotomy between form and message.
They finish the collection of leather bags of the highest quality and minimalist style.
