Vinilica vol. 62 – HÅN

Emanuele D'Angelo

Today we will talk about HÅN, a singer-songwriter who grew up in a small Italian town near Lake Garda.
Today sees the release of “Gradients“, the new EP of HÅN, six tracks that, through different angles and perspectives, investigate the world of human relationships, told in all their articulations: love, friendship, power ties, relationship with oneself.

At the heart of the EP is the awareness that there is a space between things and people that cannot be penetrated. As much as a relationship can be symbiotic, it can ideally be lived without veils, limits or barriers, there will always exist indecipherable nuances, which concern individuality, and which remain intact in the encounter of two people. The task and the wish that HÅN gives to herself and to those who listen to her is to accept them and not to spend life trying to fill the gaps that separate us.

The production of the songs is entirely edited by the Italian artist, continuing the refined and dreamy style and aesthetics of his early works: a whispered voice that relies on a minimalist and sophisticated electronic production.

A sweet and refined EP, six tracks to listen to all with a lot of calm.
As always, exclusively for Collater.al Mag, HÅN created his playlist with his influences inside.

“Summer is mating season (I guess it was spring but whatever) so this playlist is perfect for your summer crush. Contrary to my usual, just happy mood, more or less.
Inside you can find songs from Battisti to Caroline Polachek and from English to French, because love is universal”.
