The creative director of Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello, has chosen to present and narrate the Spring/Summer 2021 collection through “SUMMER OF ’21”, a 7-minute short film directed by Gaspar Noé.
A strong restlessness that mixes with the charm of the ’60s thanks to the courageous and avant-garde visions of the French director who, on the notes of “I Feel Love” by SebastiAn, disorients the viewer.
A model who runs, perhaps out of fear, in the middle of a wood, and from an apparently abandoned well arrives in front of an imposing villa. Awaiting her is a mysterious priestess, the British actress Charlotte Rampling, who seems to be waiting for her “victims” (the models ed.) – in fact, many are already “prisoners” inside the villa – to begin her performance in a theater with a scarlet atmosphere.
Mystery, fear, restlessness and that unconscious sensuality that certain images evoke, are the characteristics of the short film by Gaspar Noé that presents the SS21 by Saint Laurent.
