After last year’s and the changes that took place during the summer, the NBA season officially started again last night. The Boston Celtics triumphed over the Philadelphia 76ers while, on the West Coast, the Oklahoma City Thunder failed to keep up with the reigning Golden State Warriors.
There are several ways to celebrate the sport from the segmental ball and one of them can be through tattoos. But not the classic ones, only with the number of the favorite player or with the symbol of the team of the heart. I’m talking about real works of art that represent salient moments of games, between dunks and suspensions. If you don’t know where to find a tattoo artist up to the challenge, I’ll give you a name, Steve Butcher.
Steve has a passion for drawing since he was a child since he enjoyed playing the characters of his favorite cartoons. After years of academic study and experimentation, he began to devote himself to the art of tattooing. Today he is known all over the world for his hyper-realistic tattoos ranging from portraits of legendary sports icons, musicians, movie stars to representations of loved ones, comic book characters and much more.
Scroll through his Instagram profile, maybe you’ll have half an idea to fly to New Zealand and get tattooed by him.
