Born in Juupajoki, Finland, photographer Noora-Maija Tokee loves to explore, in her works of art, the symbiosis and boundaries between man and nature.
For her series entitled “The forest answers in the same way one shouts at in“, the photographer shot partially bare bodies and in the Finnish woods.
With her photos, Tokke wants to tell the observer a story about nature and how man relates to it.
Her photographs create a mix of reality and dreams, where bodies are reality and nature is a symbol of power, fear and magic.
In the artist’s vision, human autonomy and freedom are part of nature, but also of the awareness that the eviroment future is no longer so sure.
