It’s not the first time we talk about paper artists, in the past, we have seen the works of Raya Sader Bujana that represent the Olympic disciplines, or the baroque style of Eric Standley. Today we are talking about an artist who has made simplicity and minimalism her fundamental characteristics. Tania Lissova is a Russian artist who, before dedicating herself to her very small creations, studied architecture and art, specializing in modeling and drawing. 

The notions and techniques she learned during her university years proved to be fundamental for her current work. 

With almost 350 thousand followers on Instagram where she is known as @lissova_craft, Tania Lissova amazes her fans every time with small paper creations representing bouquets of flowers, potted plants and cacti. Her artworks are so small that Tania doesn’t use the classic scissors to make them, she only works with small and very thin blade cutters. The artist cuts by hand every single leaf, every petal and every stem and then glues them meticulously to create floral compositions that have nothing to envy to the real ones. 

This technique of superimposition of the various levels and elements allows Tania Lissova to recreate the typical nuances of flowers and also the areas of light and shade.
