Paulo Ito is a Brazilian street artist who became famous for his protest mural against 2014 FIFA World Cup, where a visibly hungry young boy appeared with a ball inside his plate, instead of food. Born in São Paulo in 1978, the artist is famous for his critical and pungent tone of voice for which he is known internationally.

His artistic production has gone through several phases: at the beginning, he has been very experimental, then he has painted female nudes and since 2009 he has started to paint themes related to criticism and social behavior. You can find his works in cities such as Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Lisbon, Barcelona, Berlin, Krakow, Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza and especially São Paulo. If we were to think of an Italian equivalent, we would probably immediately think of Blu, of which we have previously spoken here.
