It was back in 2003 when the film “The Room” was first shown in cinemas. The movie was entirely self produced by Tommy Wiseau a mysterious director, writer, songwriter,editor and producer. The film immediately acquired a cult status, not only because it gained the unenviable title of the worst film in the world, but also because of the veil of mystery surrounding this fascinating director. Such veil was lifted with the release of “The Disaster Artist: Life inside the Room”, a book written by Greg Sestero, which narrates in detail the background of his friendship with Wiseau and how “the Room” was created.

The last James Franco’s movie, in which he plays, directs and produces, is called The Disaster Artist and is featured from the homonymus book.

Franco is entirely devoted to such movie, and has as a result won the Golden Globe and scored a number of other nominations.

One of the most impressive aspects is the care the director puts in every single detail in order to recreate the same atmosphere that characterizes “the Room” without overlooking the comic side of the story.

The result is an innovative comic movie which celebrates the mythological TommyWiseau.
