Here is the first trailer of The Prodigy, the new film directed by Nicholas McCarthy, an American director with a real love for horror films.
Although we can not define him as a director so loved by critics, we must, however, signal his will to constantly renew this genre. And if with his previous works McCarthy has succeeded only marginally, with The Prodigy it seems he finally made it.
The film is about a child, who with the constant help of a psychologist, tries to understand what paranormal obscurity is hidden in his young and “innocent” mind. As we can understand the plot looks interesting but also a bit banal.
It is, in fact, the trailer, very similar to a short film in its own right, which introduces us with elegance both visual and directorial, in what seems to be one of the most interesting horror releases of the coming winter.
In the cast, we will see Jackson Robert Scott in the role of the protagonist, already seen in the remake of IT, flanked by Taylor Schilling ( Orange is the New Black).
The film will be released in all American theaters on February 8th, for now, we just have to enjoy this beautiful trailer.
