It seems that in the last few days the street artist TVBOY, often called “the Italian Banksy”, has not remained sit on his hands. In fact, 3 new works have appeared in the streets of Rome that cannot be ignored.
The first one was entitled Il gatto e la volpe (The Cat and the Fox) and depicts the two characters invented by Collodi with the faces of Salvini and Di Maio respectively, between the two, obviously, a defenseless Pinocchio with the appearance of the Prime Minister, Conte. Unfortunately, the work lasted only 6 hours, before being removed.
The second mural, which was also immediately removed, refers to this sudden interest on the part of the municipal administration of Rome in his works and their immediate removal.
The last one is called Stop Abuse, which is miraculously lasting more than 24 hours, and as every time it is the same artist who describes it:
“The third mural, at the moment the only one which survived censoring, was placed next to Vicolo degli Osti, portrays Pope Francis holding a child on his shoulders while he writes the phrase: “Stop Abuse”. The work wants to be a wish for the resolution of a delicate and painful question, currently being addressed by the church, which for too long has been a taboo and that Pope Francis has begun to openly address within and outside the Vatican.”
One can say that the art of TVBOY spares no one at all, and we look forward to finding out who will be the next protagonist.
