Uniqlo takes us back to 2020 in the best way possible, bringing back the Super Mario collection as part of the UT Archive project, giving a second life to a capsule that had already won over the public in 2020 in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the iconic Nintendo character. The Super Mario x Uniqlo UT Archive collection will be available starting in early May in Uniqlo stores and online.

Five years later, the brand once again pays tribute to the most famous character in the world of video games with a new release, this time celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Japanese plumber with an Italian soul. The capsule reintroduces several pieces from the original collection, including a series of T-shirts featuring prints of Super Mario in various forms—ranging from Yoshi to his rivals in Mario Kart, the ghostly Boos, and 8-bit graphics reminiscent of the aesthetic of the very first Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario is more than just a video game—it is a cultural symbol, an icon that has spanned generations and influenced the world of entertainment, design, and even fashion. Its impact extends far beyond the screen, finding space in collaborations with the biggest global brands and solidifying its status as a transgenerational phenomenon. With this new release, Uniqlo celebrates not only the character himself but also his nostalgic value and ongoing relevance in pop culture.
