The artbook VLogo Signature Vol. II is Valentino’s new editorial project, conceived and directed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, with texts by Gea Politi and Cristiano Seganfreddo, editor of Flash Art.
A sort of unusual fashion yearbook that involved twenty-six independent international publications, which were asked to reinvent the VLogo with a new campaign image.
In our contemporary world re-imagining has become necessary in order to change the status quo.
In fact, in the idea of the Creative Director of the Roman fashion house, this project is not a simple aesthetic exercise, but a canvas of new possibilities. Each magazine involved, thanks to its own creative network composed of art directors, photographers and stylists, has given vent to creativity free from constraints and commercial obligations. The experience of VLogo is further enriched by the inspirations of Valentino’s style offices that have animated with signs, graphics and drawings the path of the artbook making it even more personal and artistic.

The project aims at underlining the power of the fashion medium: not a simple commercial phenomenon but a driver of evolution and change.
Among the 26 magazines that worked on the artbook we find: 032c Magazine, 10 Magazine Australia, 10 Magazine UK, AnOther Magazine, Cactus Magazine, Commons&Sense Magazine and many others.
Valentino is planning a series of activations around the world, in fact it is still ongoing the one involving the newsstands of Via dei Giardini and Corso Genova that will continue until October 26.
The VLogo Signature Vol. II artbook will also be available at selected Valentino boutiques and bookstores and distributed online at shop.flash—art.it.
