Versus is the short film of German Fiona Jane Burgess and Franka Marlene Foth, who created a poetic visual artwork in Berlin.

Versus is the short film of German Fiona Jane Burgess and Franka Marlene Foth, respectively, director and choreographer. The film shows two female contemporary dancers moving through the open spaces of Hofgarten estate in Berlin. The poetry that distinguishes the video is ethereal and shows the dancers in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment.

The dance is intimate and the performers’ bodies express the space narration through an impeccable color combination of clothes and background. As the choreographer tells:

“It is at times very impulsive and powerful, and at times very sloppy and slow. Sexy and ugly. Heavy and light. Strong and soft “.

The soundtrack is composed by German electronic musician Frank Bretschneider, whose experimental sound combines synthesized ambient notes with glitches, to create a futuristic and suggestive tone. This continuous sound generates a kind of tremor suspension, capable of fully transmitted to the spectator the feelings expressed with the dance.
