Ricardo Bofill is the architect who redesigned the Walden 7 a famous Spanish complex. The project looks like a vertical labyrinth, consisting of 14 floors, 5 courtyards, 446 apartments and 2 swimming pools connected by endless flights of stairs that go up and down.

Externally, the predominant color is terracotta and the facade looks like a fortification, but as you enter, a world of colors and plays of light and shadow opens up. The predominant colors become yellow and deep blue.

Ricardo has succeeded both in building a world entirely separated from the outside chaos and in completely reinventing the concept of the popular house, creating an enormous collective space perfect not only for living but for meeting and doing different activities.

This architectural gem was immortalized by photographer Pauline Chardin, who managed to capture all the characteristic elements of Walden 7 and restore its full beauty.
