After a viral post, Snoop Dogg announced today that it’s not true he would quit smoking cannabis. All for a smokeless fireplace advertisement. A certainly amusing move that immediately made us think of WEED’D, the spin-off project of WOOD’D that focuses on the so-called smoking objects. The marketing strategy of this brand aims to overturn the conception we have of cannabinoid consumption, transforming the act into an opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and finally relax. The designers involved in this project, led by Design Director Simone Bonanni, for the second drop include Gabriele Chiave, Cara \ Davide, Attila Veress, Valerio Sommella, Maddalena Casadei, and all products are handmade in Italy, crafted in ceramics.

The Story of WEED’D
WEED’D was born in 2022, and we’re already at the second drop of three bongs, this time made in the colors grey and sky blue. Even the pieces from the first drop have been made in new colors, including red and grey. But there are not only bongs. A candle holder, a pipe, and an ashtray are part of the new objects presented by the brand. A small curiosity: all products bear the initials of the names of the designers who designed them.
The intention to change the way we think about cannabis smoking has made it possible for WEED’D to become the first entirely Made in Italy design bong brand. An idea certainly unexplored in our country before last year that has been very successful among design enthusiasts. The choice of Simone Bonanni to involve other designers active in the Italian and international design scene is certainly courageous but aesthetically stimulating. According to Interni, “the result is radical to the point that it seems to have originated from a provocative search by Memphis and the carefree and curious imagination of its designers.”
