Wakanda Forever, the new mural dedicated to Chadwick Boseman

Almost a month ago came the sad news of the death of Chadwick Boseman, the star of Black Panther, Marvel Studios’ first film with an African-American superhero.
There were countless tributes received by the actor, from amateur videos made by young fans to those of great artists who wanted to celebrate the artist’s life and not only his career as an actor.

The last one was inaugurated only this morning, a new mural at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Los Angeles.
The author is illustrator and concept artist Nikkolas Smith who wanted to celebrate not only the most important character played by Boseman but also the attention given to children off the set.

The protagonists of the artwork are the actor in civilian clothes as he makes the gesture of crossing his arms at his chest and a child wearing a hospital gown and the Black Panther mask that emulates him.

The mural is a tribute to the time the actor spent with terminally ill children during the filming of Marvel’s movie, but above all, while silently fighting his battle against cancer.
