More than one hundred and fifty photographers have joined in support of Palestine, providing some of their shots for print sales. Among them read names such as Cindy Sherman, Alec Soth, Jim Goldberg, Maen Hammad, Hannah Black, Sunil Gupta and Alessandra Sanguinetti. Picture for Palestine, the name of the fundraiser, ended yesterday, December 13, with excellent results. Each print was sold for 100 pounds and the entire proceeds were donated to MAP, Medical Aid for Palestinians, which provides medical care for Palestinians. This gesture reminds us how the situation is still sadly tragic and that aid is needed for the survival of countless people. The end of this project can mean the start of another one, setting itself today as a driving wagon for the art world and spur it on in continuing to promote this type of project.
