It was August 4, 1821 when Louis Vuitton, founder of what would soon become one of the six most famous brands in the world, was born in Lavans-sur-Valouse. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of its birth, the video game Louis The Game has been launched, offering an immersive experience to discover its history.
In the role of Vivienne, the brand’s mascot, we walk through a world divided into levels and places vaguely inspired by real cities (Paris, London, Beijing, Tokyo and New York). On this path the character will collect 200 candles, which will unlock cards with anecdotes related to Louis Vuitton, he can wear accessories and iconic items of the maison, but it does not end there.
To keep up with the times, the game includes 30 NTFs, d10 of them made by Beeple, that players will be able to purchase and that will be “stored” in a digital wallet.
The game is downloadable for both iOs and Android devices.
The celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Louis Vuitton continue with other surprises. Just today on the brand’s Instagram profile, another initiative called The Visionaries was unveiled: 200 artists, creatives and studios close to the maison, including Nigo, Optical Arts, Tracey Deep, Adam & Arthur, Ozzy Wright, were called to reinterpret the classic trunk, the Trunk, and are all visible on Louis Vuitton’s website.
