Photographer Alexander Gonzalez Delgado, known on Instagram as @sasha_y_los_lobos, has just finished a photo series made a few days ago in a Venice at the mercy of Carnival.
“Dove sei? Dove sei? Dove sei?”, this is the title of the project, takes us on a walk through the streets, bridges and canals. It allows us to admire the lagoon city that protected by the patina of analogue seems even more magical and impalpable.

Browsing through the shots it is impossible not to notice a recurring element: the mask. The masks that tourists and citizens wear in the streets decorated for the festivities, are the same that we often struggle to remove even in the most intimate and private moments. How many times has it happened to undress, literally or not, but continue to wear a mask on our face, on our inner self?
In “Dove sei? Dove sei? Dove sei?” Alexander Gonzalez Delgado seems to be looking for something that leads him to look everywhere and we, thanks to his shots, follow his gaze.
