Maison Valentino has always had a strong connection with the world of art and culture and in recent years this relationship has intensified through various collaborations with international talents. The latest initiative has led the fashion house to collaborate side by side with Elsa Majimbo.
Elsa Majimbo is a Kenyan-born writer, comedian and actress who has already achieved worldwide success at only 19 years of age. Her fame has grown especially in the last year, during which she has used quarantine periods to create content that is both funny and addresses a variety of issues.

These qualities led her to be the perfect person for a collaboration with Maison Valentino, with whom she created the book ‘The Alphabet for Kids & Adults’.
The book – officially launched on 20 March and intended for friends and people selected by Valentino and the young writer – can be considered a 2.0 primer for children and adults.

For each letter, illustrated by Pepijn Temming with bold, funny and colourful graphics, Elsa Majimbo, together with author and comedian Mo Kheir, has written two sentences, one for the youngest and one for the oldest, both characterised by the comedy that has made her famous all over the world.
With “The Alphabet for Kids & Adults”, Maison Valentino and Elsa Majimbo propose a new reading and interpretation of the world around us.
