For some weeks now we have been telling you, here on the magazine and on our Instagram profile, Art is Resistance, our charity project born to help doctors and nurses in the Lombardy region.
There have been many, and many more will come, the artists who entertained us with live sessions and video making-of, but there are also many who have decided to give their contribution to the cause by donating an already existing work.
Among them, there is also CANEMORTO, a name that hides a group of three artists, who decided to donate to Art is Resistance an artwork made in 2016 entitled Carlo giallo su sfondo di tre cani #106.
From tomorrow you will also find his work on 32auctions, while you wait you can see here the other artists who participated and their works!
CANEMORTO

“One and triune.” This is how we define the group that in art has assumed the name CANEMORTO. A hybrid of difficult identification that is hidden in ambiguity and from this it draws its strength: composed of three souls, contrary to any label and classification, forced to anonymity and always on the move between the capitals and the peripheries of Europe.
It is a creature contested by gallerists and law enforcement agencies and positioned halfway between legality and illegality, with one foot inside the art system and the other well anchored on the outside. Committed to the official art front and, before that, to that of street art, they transpose their poetics and iconographies from one medium to another, depending on the context, with the awareness of operating within art and not only within a subculture.
Carlo giallo su sfondo di tre cani #106
The artwork chosen by CANEMORTO is Carlo giallo on a background of three dogs #106, made in 2016.
The size of the work is 32.5cmx50 cm and the technique used is tempera and ink of Hahnemuhle Hellweiss 300gr paper.

Canemorto’s artwork will be auctioned on 32auctions from tomorrow April 16th until the end of the month!
