Art in the streets, the exhibition of “The Billboard Creative”

“The Billboard Creative” is a nonprofit organization that transforms billboards into public art sites, officially founded in 2014. Their main goals are twofold: to help emerging artists overcome traditional obstacles, and the second but not least, is to bring art to the streets by making it as accessible as the many billboards we see every day.

As of a few weeks ago, they announced their seventh exhibition that will invade the streets and billboards of legendary Los Angeles starting April 5. An exhibition that this year addresses some of today’s hottest and most important issues through the ideas of emerging artists such as: Ramiro Gomez, Phung Huynh, Narsiso Martinez and Calida Rawness.

A unique and very important initiative, especially now that museums are closed, Los Angeles residents will be able to enjoy an open-air exhibition, instead of the usual boring advertisements.
At the moment the selected artists are 30, but it is still possible to apply on the site and maybe be the protagonists of the next exhibition around the city.
