The places, the faces, the food that Julia Nimke immortalizes in her shots form a story of images that manages to give us back the beauty of the places she visits. 

Born in Frankfurt (Oder), the first encounter that Julia Nimke had with photography was when at 12 she was given a camera with which she began to capture everything around her. Over the years this passion has never abandoned her, on the contrary, it has grown more and more: it grew when she received her first digital camera as a gift when she moved with her mother and her gaze was captured by new places when she started working for a local newspaper when she decided to attend a master’s degree in photography. 

So, with study, commitment and constancy, her passion turned into her work. 

Today Julia counts names like Air Canada, Suzuki, Lufthansa among her clients and she specializes in travel photography. Her latest personal project, Backpacking Vietnam leads us to the discovery of Vietnam not only by showing us the places already known but above all through the shapes of the landscape, the colors of the food, the faces of the people. Julia Nimke manages to photograph the atmosphere, the air you breathe in distant countries, and in the end, after browsing through her shots you will have the feeling of having been next to her for the whole trip.
