One of the most touristic and picturesque destinations in China is definitely Guilin, a city in Guangxi province cut in two by the Li River. This river, in addition to representing one of the most important areas of fish in the area, crosses the entire region and along its course, you can admire some of the most beautiful and characteristic landscapes of the interior of the country, where the metropolis of millions of inhabitants are a distant memory and nature dominates everything.   
One of these is represented by the karst mountains in Yangshuo County, and it is right here, where the green mountains dive into the river, on a small island, that the architecture and design studio llLab has designed a pavilion, a structure completely made of bamboo.

Bamboo Bamboo, this is the name of the project, was created for the Impression Sanjie Liu, a theatrical performance designed for this magical place and staged at night. 
The goal was to create a passage that would connect the stage with the point of arrival on the island. The architects of llLab thought to give life to the existing walkway through the construction of two architectural elements. 
The first consists of a series of lanterns on either side of the walkway that become larger as you move forward, the second is a canopy that allows spectators to remain covered while moving. 

The peculiarity of the two structures is that they are made entirely of bamboo by local craftsmen. This choice has made it possible to create a structure made entirely of organic material, but also to pay homage to the surrounding landscape, especially that of the long river, where bamboo plantations abound. 
During the day, the light that passes through the structure creates a shady place; at night, instead, the artificial lights give the structure a crumbling, almost magical air.
