Born as a writer, Ben Eine, a famous English artist is considered one of the pioneers in the exploration of new forms of street art. Active for over thirty years, it became known because of its strongly recognizable typographic style, made of huge, luminous letters that compose beautiful works performed with a relentless underground attitude, which he summarizes as follows:

“Street artists want to add something to the environment. They consider the audience, whereas graffiti writers don’t care about anyone except themselves, they do it purely for the kick”.

Ben’s collaboration with Banksy was very important for the commercial success of both; we remember in fact that in 2003 the couple set up the famous Pictures on Walls gallery, with a collective of different artists, in order to print and sell street art. The official consecration of the artist took place in 2010 when former British Prime Minister David Cameron presented President Obama with his “Twenty-First Century City” artwork.

In 2018 Ben realized the most extensive street art in the world that is visible from space CREATE, a mural painted on industrial land in the east of London. You can admire other works also in permanent collections of the V&A Museum in London, Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles, Museum of Contemporary Art in San Francisco, Urban Nation Street Art Museum in Berlin, Beyond The Streets of Los Angeles and The Dean Collection, as well as the private collection of Louis Vuitton and numerous other commercial institutions.
