There are everyday moments, details and places that only the experienced eye of a photographer can notice. Cassian Gray, a young London-based photographer, has captured these moments on the streets of his city, showing us moments of normality that we, busy with our routines and commitments, are unable to capture. 

Through photography, Cassian tries to establish a connection with his surroundings and give them back the importance they deserve. The lens of his analogue camera follows people on the street, lingers on corners and intersections and emphasises details that would be lost. 

One of his latest works is entitled ‘The Posties‘ and shows exactly his attitude towards the photographic medium. It is a photographic series about the workers of the Royal Mail, the British postal service. Cassian Gray has restored value to those who, more than most, intersect our lives but remain almost invisible. 

Cassian Gray uses the camera as a tool to provoke encounters, documenting individuals, places and communities that would otherwise go unnoticed.
