“Helmet in hand, we are at war!” The French artist Julien Malland better known as Seth Globepainter has returned to his Paris with a series of murals inspired and thought about the lives of children during the pandemic.

The public works of art depict children in the middle of an imaginary adventure or playful activity: one rides a giant pigeon, another blows multicolored bubbles, and a couple seems to float from the ground to embrace each other.

“The murals represent the way Parisians have accepted this new way of life and talk about how children, in particular, seem to have adapted easily to it, says the artist. They are protected by their helmets that weigh so much on them, they can only see through small openings in the metal, but they continue to play as if nothing had happened”.

His idea started from one of Emmanuel Macron’s press conferences and his words “nous sommes en guerre”, the helmet as a mask represents a sign of protection for physical well-being, as well as a demonstration of strength and resistance.
