Çagla Polat is a young, self-taught Turkish photographer who produces colourful and dynamic shots. Istanbul is her hometown, where she studied Arts and Culture Management and where her artistic practice comes to life.
Before taking up photography, Çağla expressed her creativity through drawing, but in search of other stimuli and influenced by her sister, she found a new path. Her sister is a documentary photographer, she is the person who has influenced her research the most, she is a source of inspiration and a daily guide.
The photographs of Çagla Polat are multifaceted, they do not fit into definitions or particular artistic styles. Despite this aspect, however, her shots have an obvious cinematic aesthetic and are inspired by the work of directors such as Gaspar Noé, Andrej Tarkovskij and Wong Kar Wai.

On an aesthetic level, the Turkish photographer seems to take her use of light, colors and scene construction from these great names. On a conceptual level, however, Çagla carries out a human investigation and multiple reflections on man and the meaning of things.
Her photographs are intense, energetic and dynamic.
