A piece of furniture should not only be practical but also aesthetically satisfying. This is the philosophy behind all of OKEJ Studio’s work.

OKEJ is a design studio that brings together the backgrounds of its two founders: on one side, Emmie Brower, a creative director and designer born and raised in Sweden; on the other, Mitchell Brower, an American engineer. After getting married, they founded the studio in 2020.

The style of their products is heavily influenced by Nordic and Swedish design, characterized by a playful and creative use of colors and shapes. This approach allows their creations to blend practicality with aesthetics.

Their debut product on the market was the Squiggie Rug, a bold and rounded rug available in six different colors. It seamlessly adapts to any environment, softening the seriousness of office spaces and bringing a touch of joy into homes.

Another much-talked-about piece is the Hyperbolik Shelf, a bookshelf featuring wavy elements that bring movement to a piece of furniture typically perceived as static.

The common thread running through all OKEJ Studio products is both their playful nature and a nod to the 1960s and 1970s. Their designs deceive the eye, making you feel as though you’re looking at a vintage piece of design.
