It has always been difficult to get into the heads (although in this case it would be more correct to say “into the masks”) of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, better known as Daft Punk.
It is not so much for the mystery that has always accompanied them, but rather for a vision that is so avant-garde as to become mythological and cross-generational. From Homework to Random Access Memories, there are many Daft Punk record successes, as well as live performances that have made history. This history also includes the videos made for the hits of the French duo, including that of “Around the World“, which is staged in a theater of the absurd and of which Daft Punk have just published the original storyboard.

There are all the classic indications of a storyboard, probably made by the director of the video clip Michel Gondry. Simple drawings describe the movements of the subjects on stage, from robots to mummies and synchronized swimming dancers, with captions that describe the type of shot and the movements of the characters, each symbolizing a musical instrument.
