One of the easiest sins to accept is that of being a bibliomaniac, obsessed with buying books that you no longer know where to put, even better if they are beautiful volumes on art. In this regard, Damiani Publishing is ready to publish four new books dedicated to different disciplines and to the work of great contemporary artists.
From Maurizio Cattelan to the works of the greatest living Ghanaian sculptor, the publishing house specialising in art and photography books is ready to add new monographs to its catalogue, available from 24 May.

The book El Anatsui: The Reinvention of Sculpture will explore the production of political metaphors by the Ghanaian sculptor, representative of the new post-colonial modernism that has spread through Africa since the mid-twentieth century. The second volume is dedicated to Ian Strange’s installations and his relationship between nature and the urban development of small towns.
Among the titles available for purchase is Of Matter and Time, on the work of Michael Houpton, a book on the manipulation of photography by a great American exponent of this art, capable of exploring the themes of nature, technology and the cosmos over the course of a 12-year research project. It will be the first monograph dedicated to Michael Houpton, unlike the new volume of Toilet Paper, edited by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari with the unmistakable pop and ambiguous style of one of the most popular art magazines.
