Disney has officially confirmed the title and release date of Pixar’s new animated film, which will be called “Luca” and will have an all-Italian setting.

Directed by Enrico Casarosa and produced by Andrea Warren, the film will feature a boy named Luca while he lives an unforgettable summer in a seaside town on the Italian Riviera. The film will be released in cinemas in the summer of 2021.

Only two images are still available, we’ll have to wait, but here are some previews of the director Enrico Casarosa: “This is a deeply personal story, not only because it is set on the Italian Riviera where I grew up, but because at the center of this film is the celebration of friendship. Childhood friendships often set the course for who we want to become and it is precisely those bonds that are at the center of our story in Luca”. “So, in addition to the beauty and charm of the Italian sea, our film will tell an unforgettable summer adventure that will radically change Luca”.

Definitely too soon to have any idea what the new cartoon will tell, but hopefully, they will surprise us as always.
