It was December 1980, when Shining was released in Italian theatres and the image of Jack Nicholson gone mad became the emblem of the cinema of those years. Now we are ready for his return. 

The trailer for Doctor Sleep has been released in which we find a forty-year-old Danny Torrance, played by Ewan McGregor, still inwardly devoured by the terrifying memories of the Overlook Hotel. 

Danny, who now lives in New Hampshire, tries in every way to lead a normal life forgetting almost his super abilities, but, at one point, he meets Abra, a girl with his own gifts, the famous shimmer. It is precisely when Abra needs his help to fight the followers of the “True Node” that Danny will have to start using his powers again, which will force him to reckon with his past. 

Doctor Sleep will be released in cinemas on Halloween night, October 31, 2019.
