Shantell Martin is a British artist based in New York, known for her unmistakable style. Exclusively in black and white, the doodles combine drawings of faces with broken phrases that seem suspended in a space that extends to infinity.
Shantell’s multidimensional works address complex issues such as identity and other topics related to the modern human condition, topics that the artist also resumes during her lectures at NYU Tisch during her interactive telecommunications course, where she combines visual art with personal fiction and technology.
