The “Due Due” event by Sneaker76 and LC23 in Puglia

Sustainability is a central theme in contemporary fashion and beyond.
The approach to this version is multiple, also because it is one of the most complex aspects, to the point that a year ago, one of the brands that more than any other fights for eco-sustainability, ecology, traceability, respect for human rights, and social equity, admitted “that it is not even close to being a sustainable brand“. The problem is that for now it’s no more than a pipe dream; a noble, serious and vital concept, but one that requires a general rethinking of the economy and how it works. We are far from reaching an ideal goal in this matter and this is told by a brand that has been working non-stop every day for the last 5 years, concentrating its energies on creating a culture of respect for the planet and all the living beings that inhabit it.

Starting from this fundamental theme Sneakers76 and LC23, two realities recognized as a point of reference for Southern Italy, have organized an event in the beautiful and evocative Valle D’Itria where trulli, nature farms, good food and family hospitality are at home.

The two Apulian brands offered their land to launch a message that takes the first steps towards sustainability and consumer awareness.

The name chosen for the event was “Due Due”, a typical Apulian expression that grandmothers used to indicate a small portion of food and to convince their grandchildren, and others as well, to eat. This very expression has become synonymous with concepts rooted in popular Apulian culture such as hospitality, generosity and sharing.

The “Due Due” is considered a fundamental pillar within the discourse on sustainability, both related to the past and to the present: food waste is one of the main topics in the discussion on our environmental impact and on the preservation and protection of the world we live in.

The event was a mix of walks, organic food, recycling activities, workshops, talks and music in which characters and realities involved in the communities, and among them there was also us of Collater.al, who with their sensitivity carry on the message.

Thanks to the photos of Fabio Carnevale and Luca Grottoli we let you breathe the air we breathed at the event “Due Due”, guests of Sneaker76 and LC23.
