Good news for the great fans of Studio Ghibli, on April 30 will be inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to the genius of Hayao Miyazaki.

We will have to wait a little longer, however, the beautiful museum designed by Renzo Piano in Los Angeles will not open before 2021.
It is called Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and will be the largest museum in the world dedicated to the history of cinema.
A museum that will present exhibitions and programs that tell all aspects of the seventh art: film stories, film techniques and artists.

The new exhibition will feature over 300 original pieces, including storyboards, layouts, backgrounds, posters and films from the Studio Ghibli archives, as well as memorabilia visible to the public for the first time outside Japan.

A unique exhibition that will introduce you to the famous director, organized into seven thematic sections so that visitors can immerse themselves in Hayao Miyazaki’s scenes and stories.

Finally, the exhibition ends with a portal inspired by The Enchanted City will bring visitors back from Miyazaki’s world to the real one.
