Orbital Assembly Corporation, the group behind Voyager Station, has announced the start of a major project to create a hotel outside the Earth, in lunar orbit.

With the hope of being ready in 2027, the project includes 11,600 m2 of living space, consisting of private rooms, bars, restaurants, gyms, concert halls and other recreational spaces. It will be able to accommodate approximately 400 people.

The hotel will have a circular shape, like a bicycle wheel, with a diameter of two hundred meters. In the central core, in addition to the control center, there will also be the docking platform for spaceships carrying passengers and supplies. While the housing modules, which will be about 24, will be placed on the outer ring.

The orbiting station will not be limited only to be a simple hotel but will also be used for research purposes and will become the largest structure ever made by man in the cosmos.
