Art Five Artists At The Milan Design Week

Five Artists At The Milan Design Week

Giorgia Massari

This year at Milan Design Week we are noticing more art than usual, and we are not just talking about collectible design. If the line between art and design is becoming increasingly blurred, artists have definitely broken the barrier altogether and have become part of this week dedicated to design, called upon by brands and institutions to surprise the public with their works. Going around the various openings, it seems that they all agree with us, given also the temporal proximity with miart and the Venice Biennale, which this year even overlaps in terms of dates, creating quite a few inconveniences. So if art and design are increasingly going hand in hand, inaugurating hybrid exhibitions and overflowing into their respective weeks, we wonder which way Fuorisalone will go in the coming years. Perhaps it will join art week and we will have two super hybrid weeks? We don’t hide the fact that it would be more convenient for everyone, perhaps even for the artists and designers themselves, but especially for the spaces and, why not, for the international and non-international public. Among the numerous artists present in this Fuorisalone, we have made a selection of the five works you cannot miss. From Tortona to the Statale, to the Biblioteca Ambrosiana with Gaetano Pesce. Scroll down to discover them all.
